Oh hello!
If you are looking for my personal website, it is madars.org.
I use madars.mit.edu to host special projects. Including hosting special whitepapers. Here are some other archived ones:
- saeima2018 tracked results of the Latvian parliamentary election of 2018. My tracking also included robustness analysis: for each district and each party, what is the minimum change in turnout that would affect outcome of the election? Calculating this is a bit tricky as Latvia employs Webster/Sainte-Laguë voting method.
- saeima2022 did the same for the 2022 election.
- honey-cake. “Anyone can cook!” A friend and I made a classical Latvian “meduskūka” (medus = honey, kūka = cake). Wikipedia has a short article on a Russian variant called medovik which, likely, is the origin. The Latvian variant definitely uses more sour cream and has more/thinner layers: we labored to get 20 layer meduskūka whereas a typical medovik has 8. We had a great time and we'll probably reuse the same recipe next time, using 1.25x or maybe even 1.5x the sour cream.
I hope to transfer more projects in the future.
— Best,
Madars
